We support all major platforms including Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Hulu, Apple TV+, and Amazon Prime Video. You can filter your "Radar" results to only show what is available on your specific subscriptions.
Yes. Cue is a local-first app. Your movie tastes, watchlists, and "Date Night" matches are stored directly on your device hardware, not on our servers. We never sell your viewing habits.
You can generate a transient QR code from your shelf that your partner scans. Cue then cross-references your unwatched movies to find "shared interests" instantly, without requiring either of you to create an account.
Cue is currently available for iOS. Android is in development; a release date has not been announced here.
Yes. You can use the Cabinet feature to paste links from TikTok, Letterboxd, or IMDB. Cue intelligently processes these links to extract movie details so you can add them to your collection instantly.
Yes. Cue creates automatic daily local snapshots on your device and lets you restore them from Settings → Save or restore data. You can also export a manual backup file anytime for extra safety.
Yes. Cue sends release alerts for titles on your shelf. For TV shows, we notify you the night before and again on release day for the next episode when TMDB provides schedule data. For unreleased movies on your shelf, you also get night-before and day-of release reminders.
Absolutely. Cue is designed with a local-first philosophy. Your entire library, mood boards, and recommendation logic live on your device hardware, meaning you can browse and organize your films anywhere, even without signal.

Looking for something specific or just want to explore? Here are the best ways to find your next favorite movie or series in Cue:
1. The "Surprise Generator" (Best for Genre Recs)
Perfect for when you know a genre but don’t have a specific title in
mind. In the Add (+) tab, tap the Magic Wand icon at the top
right. Select your favorite genre and streaming platform, and Cue
will generate a fresh batch of hits tailored for you.
2. The Radar Discover Screen
Explore curated moods and trending tags in the
Radar (Compass Icon) tab. Tap tags like "Certified Fresh" or
"Coming Soon" to see what's trending across all genres.
3. Search for Moods or Types
While search is primarily title-based, searching for a specific
genre in the Add screen will pull up trending titles in that
category. Pro-tip: If you find something you like, check the
"Similar" recommendations at the bottom of the movie's detail sheet!

You can also export a backup file anytime for additional safety.
Cue also supports shelf-based release reminders. If a TV show is on your shelf, Cue can alert you the night before and on release day for upcoming episodes when schedule data is available from TMDB. If an unreleased movie is on your shelf, Cue can alert you the night before and on release day as well.

Cue is built to respect your privacy. The core application logic and database operate entirely on your device. We do not run proprietary servers to collect, harvest, or monetize your personal movie database, taste profile, or viewing habits. Text extraction from screenshots and QR-code scanning run on-device. When you choose AI-assisted search, your submitted query or image is sent to Cue's search backend and AI provider to help identify relevant titles.
To provide you with rich metadata, trailers, and monetization, Cue utilizes the following third-party APIs and SDKs. These services may collect device identifiers, crash data, or IP addresses subject to their own privacy policies:
Where required, Cue asks for advertising consent before requesting ads. You can revisit applicable consent choices through “Ad privacy choices” in Settings. Active ad-free purchases disable sponsored cards.
Users can upgrade to a premium subscription to unlock enhanced features within the app experience. You can also manage your local snapshots and manual backups from the app settings at any time.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. We rely on their extensive community-driven database for posters, cast data, and synopses.
Furthermore, by utilizing the in-app movie trailer feature, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and Google Privacy Policy.
Cue is provided "as is" and without warranty. Cue includes in-app local backup and restore tools, but users are still encouraged to export manual backup files regularly for maximum safety. We are not liable for data loss caused by device failure, file corruption, or unsupported system behavior.
Cue is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Users may not reverse engineer the application, scrape its automated TMDB endpoints, or bypass the in-app purchase systems.
Premium features are offered via auto-renewing subscriptions processed by Apple. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. All purchases are final per App Store guidelines.
